Eric is being treated at ICU at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, which is 10 min from our house. I arrived around 10.30am. Eric’s sister Gina, Marci, and his mom Pam arrived in the early afternoon. Aunty Joyce and Uncle Dick arrived shortly after from Medford, then came Paul and Sam from Seattle, Uncle Jim and uncle Steve together with cousin Marie arrived in the afternoon from Seattle.
What we found out was:
Eric is unconscious with severe injuries, including head, back, right knee, lungs and kidney. The gravest concern right now is brain swelling. He will need, at the least, spine surgery and knee surgery, but they are doing nothing until the brain swelling subsides, and he wakes up. They have him on light sedation.
The staff at ICU are absolute awesome, so patient, skilled and carrying. Polly is Eric’s nurse and I owe her so much already.
The driver, Jeremy Jordan, was arrested Saturday afternoon.
