Eric had a MRI today to see details over his brain and his knee and we should get the result back tomorrow. The doctor sedated him prior to the MRI. Think about it…he’s been heavily sedated for two back surgeries, three days ago he had a Bronchoscope which Eric got sedated for as well, and today a MRI. Add a bruised up body and broken ribs on top of that, plus a brain injury. Would it be easy for you to wake up out of that? No wonder he’s not responding yet. I’ll patiently wait by his side until he’s ready.
Not all of you have met Eric, but for the once who have, I think you’ll get a laugh out of this. I think it’s important to remember to laugh too, no matter how difficult the situation is. Eric’s hair is super curly by nature; we’re talking corkscrew hair by nature. They doctor had to shave his hair for one of the many tests so he’s currently bald. Which is why it was funny when my neighbor yesterday said, “How’s Eric going to deal with the hair now? He won’t be able to get his perm done while he’s at the hospital.” Perm?? Gezzz, this isn’t the ‘80 anymore. Oh man, if Eric only knew that our neighbor for all these years thought he had his hair permed. Too funny! I can’t wait to tell him.
